I was excited. Of course I want to have every Anglesey wedding venue in my portfolio. Oh but Plas is quite extraordinary. If you’re familiar with Anglesey and the walks around Rhoscolyn (or to The White Eagle) you’ll have seen this fabulous house. It’s one of Menai Holiday cottages, you can stay there and be married there too. That’s exactly what Wendy and Steve did.
Dahlias from Liverpool flower market
Wendy went shopping with her father the day before her wedding. They went shopping for dahlias; quite possibly my favourite flower. So, approached by a bride to be who is planning to wear a black dress, turquoise shoes and have dahlias galore, I was incredibly keen to have her in my diary. It was a home made wedding which means it was over flowing with warmth. When your friends and family contribute towards your day their dedication is unmistakable.
Have a look through their images, grab some ideas for yourself. Oh and there’s the most original cake topper I’ve come across by artist Jo Lucksted. Cute dog alert too.
Fabulous make up as always by Rhiannon Pritchard
