An Anglesey wedding, it’s just so romantic isn’t it. Gather your friends and family on an island at a hidden location for a party, perfect! It’s all so achievable here on Anglesey. Earlier this year Sophie, Thomas and I met on another island; Llanddwyn, for their pre-wed shoot. You can see it here. It was glorious, windy and glorious but St. Dwynwen was looking out for us and the shoot went beautifully. Sophie had been a little nervous about how they would be portrayed, I’d go so far as to say she enjoyed the experience. This bode well for the big day.
An Anglesey Wedding, a big day in my diary
Of course I don’t have favourite weddings, venues, brands, couples. However, if I did this wedding would be up there. I can remember discussing with my assistant Erin, that the atmosphere in Sophie’s parents’ home was something I’d hope to achieve if my daughter were to marry. Calm, caring, loving, so much happiness. Oh and a bridesmaid who didn’t stop smiling all day long, you’ll spot her. Sophie specifically asked if I could replicate a photograph of her Grandma, looking in her bedroom mirror. Have you ever seen anyone look so good in a full head of rollers?
St. Edwen’s in Llanedwen, Anglesey
Set in an enchanting location, just on the straits. Add a vicar whose mode of transport is a motorbike. The day just gets better doesn’t it. A word about Sophie’s Enzoani dress and choice of veil length; cathedral. A word? The word is YES, wear a veil, they’re heavenly. We’re here to help too, we don’t let you become wrapped up in it.
I’d noticed a pool of light coming through one of the windows into St. Edwen’s, aha, I could use that. There are certain parts of a wedding day when time slips away. One such time is confetti and kissing time, heck, would I be able to entice Sophie and Thomas back into church. I did and it was worth it, it’s always worth it. Onwards to a tiny bridge which is located on Sophie & Thomas’s favourite cycle ride. I wouldn’t be able to take you there, top secret. Then over to The Outbuildings, thankfully I know several tried and trusted routes to this venue. The celebrations continued and all was well with the world.
