To keep the rain at bay from this glorious Pentre Halkyn wedding, chillis were hung from the trees.
Have you heard of that before? Me neither. Infact that may well be a project for myself; to explore old wives tales attached to weddings. This one worked though, it was a very beautiful day.
A Pentre Halkyn wedding at home
Harriet’s family were hosting the day. The front lawn made an ideal spot for the marquee. Mathew and his groomsmen met at The Britannia Inn, a short walk from church. I always think it’s quite cool for the groom to walk to church, chatting and bumping into guests on the way.
The stand out part of the day was the choreographed first dance. On a couple’s first visit to me I joke that a big choreographed number would be fantastic. I can count on one hand how many people actually do this. Fear not, I shoot stills so a great deal of movement isn’t required. I would encourage a few twirls though, get practising!
I’m Gill Jones and I’m an Anglesey photographer and North Wales wedding photographer. If you like how I’ve captured Harriet and Mathew’s day then please contact me here to talk about how I can tell your story.
