A Trearddur Bay Hotel Wedding – Jo and Reg
Hurrah, at long last Jo and Reg’s Trearddur Bay Hotel wedding is able to go ahead. We’re in early April, the beach was full of happy holiday makers, kites flying, Trearddur Bay is feeling normal after the pandemic.
A First
They do keep happening, I’ve been photographing weddings for twelve years now and I’m delighted to say I keep on being surprised. I walked into Jo’s hotel room, greeted her and was puzzled why I didn’t receive much of a response. This wasn’t Jo it was here twin sister Sally, aha! This was a happy space with sons and daughters and grand daughter milling in and out as Jo and Sally prepared.
Family participation
Jo and Reg were lucky enough to have Jo’s son conduct a commitment ceremony for them. Off we went into the sunshine to enjoy fizz, confetti and lots of photography. There was lots of hilarity when their confetti bombs appeared to be defective, I think we tried the confetti throw twice.
The Grand National
The Grand National was live on a few mobile phones during Jo and Reg’s wedding breakfast. I love to capture these images, they provoke those ‘remember when’ conversations. Couples feel a million dollars as we take off across the beach opposite, you’d make way for a bride and groom wouldn’t you and most people do….there’s always one isn’t there, another first for me.
