At home for your Anglesey Wedding
Ideally wouldn’t everyone want to be married at home? I think you may fall into one of two camps; ‘absolutley yes’ and ‘under no circumstances’.
All the way from Canada
Rebecka and Robert brought their family to their beloved Moelfre family cottage to be married in the garden.
I’d been intouch with Rebecka’s Mum on the run up to their day. Their wish was to use local suppliers. This brings me joy, as you can imagine.
Laura from Anne’s Pantry supplied the afternoon tea. Not only did she deliver it but she sang a beautiful Welsh love song too, talk about going above and beyond.
Time
Here’s the thing, folk from North America expect to give their wedding photographer at least an hour to photograph just the bride and groom. Holy smoke, this was unexpected, I was giddy with the prospect. Off we went around the headland where we could see Ynys Moelfre. Have you heard of Ynys Moelfre? I’m ashamed to say that I hadn’t.
Epic
We went for it! We used the cliffs, the sea, the blue skies, everything was at our disposal. Even the fishermen on the rocks played their part. And then, after a few group shots, we walked down to the pub!
Your Anglesey wedding at home
Weddings come in all shapes and sizes. It’s important that your wedding speaks for you. This is exactly what Rebecka and Robert wanted. Robert’s family have owned this cottage forever and it’s a cherished place. Now, it’s stamped in their life’s journey passport. Their children will always remember it and have the photographs to recall the day their parents were married at home on Anglesey. Special stuff.
